This course is intended to give students a thorough understanding of advanced diesel chassis electrical and electronic systems and to teach diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Topics include advanced networks and muliplexing, A/C systems, lighting systems, instrument panels, wiper and washer systems, alarm systems, collision avoidance systems, supplemental restraint systems, ground based communication systems, satellite based communication systems, and accessory systems. 3 hours of lecture, 3 hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite: DSL-1060.
