Elementary Education majors only. Selecting, evaluating, and using a variety of materials to create skilled and motivated readers in the elementary grades, particularly in diverse classroom settings; Topics include word analysis, spelling, writing, reading comprehension strategies, directed reading lessons, and explicit instruction.
