Prerequisite: MATH221 or MATH141; PHYS141 or PHYS161; CHEM103 or higher; or permission of department. Recommended: BIOE454. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: BIOE484 or ENBE484. Formerly ENBE484. Engineering with biological systems, with emphasis on utilization, design, and modeling. Broad topics include differences between biological engineering and biological science; basic sciences and how they relate to biology; typical biological responses to environmental stimuli; scaling, and utilization of living things.
