Students will develop an understanding of how to plan individualized education programs, how to assess individual student needs, how to adapt instruction to improve student performance and how to select, analyze and adapt curriculum for students with special needs. Professional partnerships, the basics of collaboration and working effectively with parents and paraeducators in order to create an educational environment that will promote self-awareness and independent student learning will also be covered.
