Follows ENG 231 Techniques of Fiction in the creative writing sequence. A course on the writing of fiction, including such elements as story construction, narrative point of view, character, voice, and dialogue. Students will apply these elements both in exercises and in drafts of their own stories. Aside from some lecture and discussion, the course employs principally a workshop format.
