A survey of thermodynamics and quantum chemistry and their applications to molecular studies. Topics include gas laws, energies, quantum effects, chemical equilibrium, and electrochemistry. Prerequisite: CHM 112 Expected to be offered: Fall semester 2008 4 credits in biology and is baCHM 350 Quantitative Analysis. An introductory view of a variety of methods of chemical analysis, their underlying principles and their applications. This includes both classical "wet" methods and modern instrumental methods involving spectroscopy, chromatography, and electrochemistry.
