This course introduces students to philosophy through a survey of the core questions in some of the main areas in philosophy. These areas of philosophy may include philosophy of religion, metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of mind, ethics, philosophy of life, social and political philosophy, and so on. In the study of each area, students will be exposed to different schools of thought. The course may also be taught as a study of a particular school of thought in philosophy (e.g., rationalism), examining its theories in the above-mentioned areas of philosophy.
