1 semester hour Prerequisite: MATH 110 or equivalent Concurrent: with CHEM 111 Laboratory work reinforces the basic principles covered in CHEM 111 lecture and introduces analytical techniques. Laboratory experiments cover density, percent composition of mixtures, applying the mole concept, chemical reactivity, chemical reactions with balanced equations, gas laws, titrations, and atomic structure. The labs are a mixture of computer simulations and wet-bench chemistry.
