1.5 semester hours This course is designed to ensure that a facility's operations achieve and maintain regulatory compliance while meeting federal and state personnel training requirements for industries and federal facilities that generate hazardous waste. Training workshop topics include: cradle-to-grave management overview; hazardous waste identification; satellite accumulation area and containers; generator container/tank storage; container labeling; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permits exempt activities; recordkeeping/personnel training; RCRA preparedness and prevention programs; RCRA contingency plans; and how to complete hazardous waste manifests, Land Disposal Restriction (LDR) notification forms, annual/biennial reports, and exception reports.
