3 semester hours This course will focus on the United States and Ohio statutes, regulations, and standards that govern emergency management. The class will review the Patriot Act; Disaster Mitigation Act; Stafford Emergency Assistance and Disaster Relief Act; 44 C.F.R.; Emergency Management and Assistance; Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950, as amended; Public Law 96-342, Improved Civil Defense, 1980; Pollution Prevention Act; and the relevant Ohio statutes, regulations, and policies.
