3 semester hours Prerequisite(s): EQST 101 and ANSC 131 or permission of instructor The purpose of this course is to develop a thorough understanding of the adaptations of the equine body to the stress of exercise. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, outside readings, and laboratory demonstrations, the course will be an in-depth study of equine sports medicine and the application of exercise physiology to the training of horses.
