2 to 4 semester hours Prerequisite: 350 requires junior standing or permission of the instructor This course is designed to enable students and faculty in the department to explore selected topics in sociology. Students from outside the discipline are also invited. The content of the course will vary and will be determined by timely issues and developments within the field and by the special interests of students and faculty. SOCI 150 presumes no previous background in sociology. SOCI 350 may be repeated if topic is different. SOCI 150 can be taken only once.
