3 semester hours This course offers an examination of the concepts, policies, and practices designed to meet the diverse needs of children and families through a network of programs and social services, supplementary services, and substitute services. Issues for future planning are also considered, including preservation of the home culture. Content of the course is particularly relevant for all who will work with children (i.e., social workers, teachers, nurses, clergy, etc.).
