3 semester hours Prerequisite: ENGL 106 or 107 This course focuses on representative comedies, histories, tragedies, tragicomedies, and sonnets written by the greatest playwright in the English language - William Shakespeare. The course will emphasize both Shakespeare's dramatic technique and the cultural context of the literature. The course will offer performance attendance opportunities of live productions (when available) and film productions of Shakespeare's works.
