3 semester hours Prerequisites: EDUC 219, 325, 415 This final course in the reading core focuses on reading diagnosis and correction techniques. Students will conduct case studies and spend 40 hours within clinical remedial reading settings. Topics include interpreting standardized and informal test results, identifying authentic assessments that provide multiple indicators of student progress, developing appropriate interventions, analyzing assessment tools, and working with classroom teachers to develop effective classroom and home interventions.
