3 semester hours Prerequisites: EDUC 219, 325, 326, 415, 423 This course will explore the research in reading both historically and currently. Students will identify current issues in the teaching of reading in their licensure area and compile a literature review of research pertinent to their topic. A seminar format will allow in-depth discussion of the various topics. Candidates will also prepare in-service materials on a topic of choice. This course is the capstone for the reading endorsement.
