This course focuses on algebraic functions and their properties, explores systems of equations and inequalities, treats operations on and the properties of matrices. While the emphasis is on the real numbers, the course also includes an introduction to the complex numbers relative to the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra. Prerequisite: ACT math-sub-score of 19, satisfactory completion of M 131 or departmental recommendation based on MPE. Not open to students who have completed M 181. (Fall)
