The course gives a brief discussion of the history of advertisement, its impact on modern society, and ethical and legal issues surrounding advertising strategy. The course describes in detail the stages in developing an advertising plan, such as determination of objectives, budgeting, media planning, copywriting, art direction, and copy production. Students completing the course should acquire a good understanding of the processes involved in managing and implementing an ad campaign.
