Social systems theory is utilized to understand the interaction between human behavior and social environmental systems. Socio-cultural, biological and psychological factors of human diversity are studied. The student acquires an understanding of the problem-solving methods and social work practice as related to various vulnerable and/or disadvantaged populations. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: PSYC 100 and BIOL 104B, 105A, 105C, or 111A or permission of instructor. Credits: 4
