Focusing on the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE) standards, and Ohio's Academic Content Standards, this course emphasizes standards, scope and sequence, resources, learning activities, teaching strategies, technology and assessment techniques appropriate for teaching drama/ theatre arts. The course provides the student with an understanding of issues and the teaching/learning processes appropriate for early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescent education. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program.
