An overview of selected works, authors, and literary movements of Latin American literature, from the colonial period to present. Connection to the works will be made from the political, social, economic, and art history of the continent. Prerequisite: SPAN 353. Credits: 3 hours When Offered: (offered spring only) NOTE: General Honors Course. NOTE: This course fulfills the Aesthetic: Literature Mode of Inquiry of the Liberal Studies Program.
