This course examines past and current theories of social deviance including, but not limited to, strain theory, differential association theory, social control theory, labeling theory, rational choice theory, and feminist theories. It is conducted in a seminar format. Prerequisites: (SOAN 190 and SOAN 215) or SOAN 310. Credits: 3 hours NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
