Explores values and beliefs as they shape professional nursing practice and influence clinical decision making and interventions in the evolving health care system. Attention is given to the impact of sociocultural factors and health/illness beliefs and practices of the diverse populations served by the professional nurse. Students examine their own understanding of the moral nature of professional nursing within the context of a diverse society.
