This course examines current research and issues specific to educating students with disabilities in the area of reading.? Topics will include historical and contemporary perspectives on reading instruction and assessment, and implementation of evidence-based practice to improve phonological awareness, decoding, word recognition, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.?
