Prerequisites: CNS ED 6000 with a grade of B or better and graduate standing. Emphasis is on the nature of the changing labor market and the impact on personal, social, economic, career and educational aspects of individuals and society. Use of occupational and educational information systems and resources to assist with career decisions are examined. The needs of culturally diverse populations are discussed. Use of career and labor market information and programs such as computer technology to access uptodate career and labor market information is explored. Techniques and methods of career counseling are discussed. Various theories of career development and career choice will be examined.
