It begins with an examination of economic conditions and the social classes that derive from them.? Most of the course explores the conditions of every day life.? Topics include demography, marriage and the family, sexuality, children and old age, the roles of women, disease and death, diet, drink and drugs, clothing and housing, leisure and entertainment, and popular attitudes.
