A survey of the cultures and societies of Latin America and Spain studied through music, film, and texts from literary, economic, anthropological, and historical sources. Will examine the interaction of the Iberian Peninsular and the Hispanic worlds (16th to 18th centuries), and the formation of the new independent states (19th Century). (Fall). Liberal arts.
