Special topics in journalism which vary with each offering. Topics include writing specialized articles, such as the multipart series and sports stories; learning specialized skills, such as computer-assisted reporting and investigative reporting techniques; and studying specialized areas, such as minorities and the news media, and news room management. May be repeated for credit with different topics. (Fall/Spring). Prerequisite: JOU206 or POI.
