A capstone course for adolescence education mathematics majors that re-examines mathematical topics of particular relevance for high school mathematics teachers, helping the teaching candidate see the connection between the high school curriculum, the state and national standards for mathematical instruction, and the advanced perspective provided in the mathematics major. Appropriate use of technology, historical themes, and reflections of teaching mathematics are integrated throughout the course. (Spring). Liberal arts. Prerequisites: MAT353, MAT361, MAT397. Corequisite: MAT428.
