After their identification they are analyzed and discussed so as to give the advanced student a deeper insight into European institutions and traditions and to promote a better understanding of the political, social, religious and ethnic divisions on which much of Western attitudes and thoughts are based. (Fall/Spring). Prerequisites: 6 hours of European history.
