Concentrating on elements and practices specific to planning for adventure journeys, this course examines the pieces of the jigsaw needed to achieve a successful journey or expedition in remote, wilderness areas. It is relevant for all levels of wilderness travel, from half-day trips to mulit-week expeditions. Topics include cartography, climate, environmental variables, equipment and supply logistics. (Fall & Spring). Liberal arts.
