This course introduces various forms of paddle sports, including sea kayaking, white water kayaking and open canoe touring. Course includes discussion of the history of paddle sports with attention to different aboriginal origins, the evolution of paddle soprts and equipment design. Skill development includes boat control skills, emergency procedures and a variety of rescue techniques. In addition to skill clinics, the course will include a variety of tours. (Fall).
