An in-depth analysis of the history, development, role, function, and evaluation of school counseling programs K-12. Through lecture, in-class, and out-of-class activities, students will explore the role of the professional school counselor. Students will focus on learning the essential services of a comprehensive developmental school counseling program along the dimensions of academic, career, and personal/social development. (Fall/Spring). Prerequisite: Majors only or POI.
