One or more advanced topics of current interest in organic chemistry. Examples may include ligand and field theory, theories of bonding, descriptive chemistry of the non-transition or transition elements, magnetic properties. A term project based on recent important contributions to the literature will be required. (Fall/Spring). Prerequisites: CHE431 Inorganic Chemistry, CHE452 Physical Chemistry II, and CHE351 Structure and Bonding.
