Focus on the globalization of sport with an emphasis on the organization, governance and management of international sport, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games and FIFA World Cup. Comprehensive investigation of the structural and cultural environments that U.S. organizations and corporations must consider in conducting business in foreign markets. Major semester-long project includes the development of a bid document for a U.S. city to host a major international sports event. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
