Tibetan populations in the Himalayas. Tibet in the Western imagination. The exporting of Buddhism to the West. The contemporary political situation and the place of Tibetans in the larger world with particular attention to global processes. (Spring). Liberal arts. Prerequisite: ANT102 or POI.
