A detailed analysis of the management and marketing of sporting goods companies and sport retail businesses including e-commerce in sport-related enterprises. Students will study trends, display, target marketing, marketing demographics, customer service, and the basic functions of selling and managing a retail business operation. Purchasing, inventory control, cost and price analysis, supplier relationships, offshore procurement, and quality and ethical considerations will be examined. (3 cr. hr.)
