Involvement of the poor and minorities, especially African-Americans, Latinos, Asian-Americans, Native Americans and women in crime and the criminal justice system. Special attention given to the role of racism in theories of crime and criminal law and the treatment of minorities by the police, courts and other components of the criminal justice system.
