An interdisciplinary survey of theory and research relevant to the psychological/physiological expression and experience of emotion in humans. The history of the study of emotion will be covered, as well as several theories concerning typical expressions of emotion representing a variety of psychological perspectives. Findings from psychological, sociological, anthropological and evolutionary theory concerning cross-cultural differences in the experience and expression of emotion will also be presented. Coordinated laboratory work. Prerequisite: PSY 202 or PSY 203. (3 cr. hr.)
