Survey of Latin America through an examination of the Pre-Columbian civilizations, the European conquests and subsequent empires, the resulting ramifications and social structure, and the socioeconomic structure that formed the foundations of Modern Latin America. Prerequisite: HIS 100, 101, 110, 111, 150, 200, 201, AAS 100, IST 200 or 210. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
