(O) This course is designed to introduce undergraduate health education/science majors to basic descriptive and inferential statistics that are used in health-related research. Principles of quantitative research will be presented and data management and analysis skills will be taught using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Not open to students with credit for MAT/PSY 201, ECO 221, COM 230 or GLY 281. Prerequisite: HLH 203. Fulfills GE 1. (3 cr. hr.)
