Survey of Chinese history from the earliest times to the mid- 19th century. Special attention is given to political and economic developments, changing social structure and social relations, cultural and intellectual traditions, and interactions with other nations of the world. Prerequisite: HIS 100, 101, 110, 111, 150, AST 200, IST 200 or 210. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
