(O) Examination of the theory of plate tectonics, including critique of refereed scientific papers. Topics include geometry and driving forces of plate motions, and the geological and geophysical implications. Prerequisites: GLY 261 and twelve credit hours of geology, biology, chemistry and/or physics at the 300 level or above. Lecture/Lab Hours: One three-hour lecture/discussion. Fulfills: LASR.
