Prerequisites: PHS 317 and PHS 302 or CHM 405 and CHM 406. Provides an introduction to quantum mechanics, including solutions of the Schrodinger equation and development of matrix formulations. Includes topics such as potential wells, potential barriers, hydrogen-like atoms and time-independent perturbation theory. Three hours of lecture per week. 3 Cr. Fall
