Gives an introduction to combinatorics including basic counting techniques involving permutations, combinations, compositions and partitions; binomial coefficients; the twelvefold way; recursions and generating functions. Other topics may include a more advanced study of permutations, sequences in combinatorics, magic squares, the probabilistic method, etc. 3 Cr.
