Prerequisite: MPN 211. Emphasizes the development of longer and more complex conversations in various situations. Students will continue to use and practice hiragana, katakana and kanji that they learned in previous courses. About 50 new kanji will be introduced. Students will also be required to comprehend short descriptive essays written in Japanese characters and to write short compositions in Japanese characters. 3 Cr.
