Prerequisite: ENV 303. Introduction to physiological adaptations of animals to their physical environment and the influence of these adaptations on animal distributions. Topics include temperature and energy metabolism, water and ion balance, oxygen availability, sensory and reproductive adaptations. Biochemical, cellular, and organism responses to these factors will be examined using an integrative and comparative approach. 3 Cr. Odd Fall
