Provides an overall view of the professional field of computing, emphasizing development of communication skills for the profession. Includes these topics: detailed history of computing technology, social effects of computing, ethics in the field, professional literature, organizations and related activities, current industrial, social, legal governmental and technical developments, and career opportunities.
