An intensive examination of a specialized topic relating to stratification or inequality among social groups defined by categories of race, ethnicity, gender, or class. Topics will vary from term to term. A Soc 440Z is the writing intensive version of A Soc 440 and A Soc 440W is the writing intensive AND oral discourse version of A Soc 440. Prerequisite(s): A Soc 115 or 115Z, 220, 221, and 235, and permission of Chair.?
