Topics might include segregation, the under class, American neighborhoods, suburbanization, evolution of cities, the third world urbanization, and urban policy. A Soc 473Z is the writing intensive version of A Soc 473 and A Soc 473W is the writing intensive AND oral discourse version of A Soc 473. Prerequisite(s): A Soc 115 or 115Z, 220, 221, and 235, and permission of Chair.
